In the contest, pet owners are invited to submit their nominations for the next dog treat flavor. Three flavor submissions will be baked into mini Classic Old Mother Hubbard dog biscuits, which will be available for purchase later this summer. Pet parents will then be asked to vote for their pup’s top flavor among the three finalists on the Battle of the Biscuits website. The winning flavor will become a staple treat to the Old Mother Hubbard Classic Line.
Peanut butter, crunchy kale, sweet potato, molasses, duck confit and bison: these could easily be on a gourmet menu or part of a health food diet, but those novel pet food ingredients are all fair game in Old Mother Hubbard’s new dog biscuit flavor contest.
Those looking to submit their flavor should visit the Battle of the Biscuits website: www.battleofthebiscuits.com. Submissions will be accepted through June 30, 2017.
Old Mother Hubbard dog treats currently are available in flavors like P-Nuttier, Bac ‘N’ Cheez, Just Vegg’N and more.
“This is an exciting time for Old Mother Hubbard, given the recent 90-year milestone we celebrated last year,” said Chanda Leary-Coutu, director of consumer experience at WellPet, in a press release. “Thanks to the brand’s history, we have a loyal and passionate fan base who turn to us for our natural ingredients and baking expertise. We expect pet parents to showcase truly innovative flavors as part of this contest, from the wacky and wild to the classic ingredient pairings dogs know and love.”
